AED batteries are crucial components of your AED that must be kept fresh. As with all battery-powered electronics, as the AED battery ages, it's ability to power the AED declines. This can result in a non-functional AED in an emergency. Remember, when deciding whether or not to replace your AED battery, an install date is not the same as an expiration date. Be sure to pay attention to when your AED battery expires and have it changed before then.
