The Zoll AED Plus takes Duracell Type 123 Lithium Batteries which are packaged in a set of ten (10) batteries. The Duracell batteries have a five (5) year expiration date while the device is in stand-by mode and a shelf life of ten (10) years. The AED Plus uses redundant circuitry, so if one set of five (5) batteries fails, the other five (5) are there for backup.

I had the pleasure of being supported on the phone by Nicole and Jacqueline today. Both were very attentive and understanding of my questions. They were full of knowledge and were able to make recommendations and suggestions to our office needs. By far one of the most excellent customer services out there! Koodos!

Description
Type 123 Duracell® Lithium Batteries, quantity of ten (10). For the ZOLL AED Plus.
Please note: date stamp on batteries is the USE BY date. The batteries will last approximately 5 years from the date of installation.
Please note: When you have installed the new batteries you must press the button in the battery compartment when the AED directs you to do so. Failure to press the button will result in the failure of the AED to recognize the new batteries.
Do not use generic / off brand batteries in the ZOLL AED Plus. Use of generic/Panasonic/Rayovac batteries may result in significantly longer defibrillator charging times than those required during emergency situations.
ZOLL recommends the use of only Duracell CR123A LiMN02 batteries.
