Huge Monster Savings on the STRYKER CR2
Stryker LIFEPAK CR2
Looking after several AEDs can be more complicated than buying them. One location changes managers, another changes its Wi-Fi network, and a third moves its device to a different entrance. Without a clear routine, small changes can leave the records out of date.
Our Huge Monster Savings promotion is a chance to review both your equipment and the way it is managed. When you purchase a Stryker LIFEPAK CR2 Wi-Fi AED under this offer, you receive a free upgrade to the CR2 Cellular with LIFELINKcentral.
Add the Wi-Fi model to your cart to see your savings, or speak with one of our expert Customer Service Team members. We can explain what the offer includes, including the applicable service period, cellular coverage and any ongoing service charges.
An AED program starts with the rescue
Connected features are useful, but the reason for installing an AED is to help someone in cardiac arrest. A person who is unresponsive and not breathing normally needs an immediate response: call 911, begin CPR and use an AED as soon as it arrives.
The AED evaluates the rhythm and determines whether a shock is appropriate. Some cardiac arrests do not involve a shockable rhythm. Responders need to continue following the CPR instructions even when the device advises no shock.
For a school board, municipality or business with several sites, each location needs a workable plan. The employee who retrieves the AED should not have to call head office to find a key. Equipment access and staff familiarity belong in the same review as pricing and connectivity.
How the CR2 supports the person helping
Opening the LIFEPAK CR2 lid starts its voice guidance. QUIK-STEP electrodes are accessed through a red handle, with pictures to help the responder place them. The design reduces the number of unfamiliar actions someone has to work out during the emergency.
ClearVoice adjusts the volume of prompts according to ambient noise. cprCOACH provides CPR instructions and a metronome. A bilingual configuration allows switching between preset languages, such as English and French, so confirm which version suits your locations.
For configurations equipped with cprINSIGHT, the device can analyze during compressions after the initial analysis when conditions permit. This is intended to reduce CPR interruptions. It does not eliminate every pause: the responder must clear the person whenever instructed and during shock delivery.
Child Mode changes the therapy and coaching for appropriate children using the same electrodes. The CR2's pediatric instructions apply to children one to eight years old or weighing less than 25 kg; it is not intended for infants under one year. Include these limits and the instructed pad placement in your staff familiarization.
Where connected oversight helps
Suppose an organization has AEDs in several buildings and wants a clearer view of device status. With compatible coverage, configuration and active services, cellular communication can support reporting without relying solely on each site's Wi-Fi network.
LIFELINKcentral can help authorized managers review connected devices and receive supported status notifications. It is particularly useful when the person overseeing the program cannot walk past every AED each day. A notification still needs a named person to investigate and correct the issue.
Cellular reception should be considered at the actual installation point. A cabinet in an interior corridor may have different coverage from the front entrance. Ask our team about setup and the applicable service arrangements when discussing the free upgrade.
The AED's rescue operation does not depend on a working cellular connection. Its monitoring connection and its treatment functions serve different needs.
Built-in self-tests and a readiness indicator give site staff another way to check the equipment. The CR2 carries an eight-year manufacturer's warranty and IP55 dust and water ingress protection. It still needs appropriate storage conditions. For outdoor installation, discuss the cabinet, temperature control and the manufacturer's operating limits with our team.
Using the CR2 during cardiac arrest
Each location should teach the same basic response sequence, adapted to its building and equipment. During an emergency, follow the AED and 911 dispatcher.
1. Recognize an unresponsive person who is not breathing normally. Call 911, start CPR and ask another person to get the AED when help is available.
2. Open the CR2 lid and listen to its instructions. Use the language button on a bilingual unit if the other preset language is needed.
3. Remove clothing from the chest and prepare bare skin for pad attachment. Pull the red handle and place the electrodes firmly as illustrated. Activate Child Mode for an appropriate pediatric patient and follow pediatric placement guidance.
4. Stop touching the person when the device directs you to clear. If a shock is advised, follow your model's instructions: press the shock button on a semi-automatic unit, or remain clear through the warning and shock sequence on a fully automatic unit.
5. Resume CPR when prompted and follow all later analysis instructions. Continue until emergency responders take over or the person shows signs of life.
If another staff member is available, have them meet paramedics and direct them to the patient. Practise that part of the response along with retrieving the AED.
Keep supplies and records current with TrackMyAED
TrackMyAED helps your organization maintain a central record of AED locations, supply dates, inspections and training information. This is useful when you have mixed AED brands or a team responsible for several sites.
For CR2 units, record the actual electrode expiry and battery installation details. Four-year supply specifications help with planning, but they do not replace the dates supplied with the equipment. Update the records after a rescue or replacement and make sure reminders go to someone who can act on them.
LIFELINKcentral can provide supported connected status information, while TrackMyAED keeps wider program records organized. Do not assume there is automatic synchronization between them. Agree on a clear routine for checking alerts, completing inspections and recording the result.
Physical checks should also confirm that signage is visible, the AED can be reached and rescue supplies are present. Seasonal decorations should never block the cabinet. That is a small Halloween detail with a practical year-round lesson: the route to emergency equipment needs to stay clear.
