Training Your Crew in CPR and AED Use

Building Confidence, Competence, and Compliance Across Ontario Worksites

Starting January 1, 2026, Ontario Regulation 157/25 will require that every active construction site with 20 or more workers has not only a Health Canada-approved AED but also at least one trained worker on-site who is certified in CPR and AED use at all times.

To meet these new requirements, AED4Life provides professional, worksite-focused CPR/AED training programs led by certified educators and an Advanced Care Paramedic with 35 years of frontline experience. These courses give crews the knowledge and confidence to respond effectively during a sudden cardiac emergency—when seconds count.

Why Training Matters

Sudden cardiac arrest can strike anywhere, anytime. In Canada, over 60,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests occur each year, and according to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada, fewer than 1 in 10 victims survive. Immediate CPR and defibrillation can triple survival rates—but only if workers know what to do.

AED4Life’s CPR/AED training programs are built around the same devices used on your sites, including the ZOLL AED 3, ZOLL AED Plus, Powerheart G5, and Philips OnSite. Each course covers:

  • Hands-on CPR techniques and rhythm recognition.

  • Proper AED operation and pad placement.

  • Bilingual prompts and real-time CPR feedback.

  • Chain-of-survival communication and EMS activation.

  • Safety officer responsibilities under O. Reg. 157/25.

By training your workforce directly on the devices you’ll be using, AED4Life ensures every responder can act fast, confidently, and correctly in a real emergency.

Integrate Training with TrackMyAED™ Pro

Compliance doesn’t end at installation or certification—it requires ongoing record-keeping and training renewals. AED4Life’s TrackMyAED™ Pro platform allows safety managers to:

  • Record and verify crew training dates and certifications.

  • Track training expiry reminders to maintain compliance.

  • Access centralized dashboards showing both AED readiness and personnel competency.

  • Generate audit-ready training logs for Ministry of Labour or WSIB inspections.

This integration makes it simple to align your people readiness with your device readiness, all in one digital system.

Expert-Led Instruction You Can Trust

AED4Life’s training programs are designed and delivered under the guidance of a 35-year Advanced Care Paramedic, blending real-world experience with Health Canada-approved instruction. Whether your crew is new to CPR or refreshing existing skills, our courses meet or exceed Heart & Stroke Foundation, WSIB, and O. Reg. 157/25 standards.

Training can be delivered:

  • On-site, integrated into your safety meetings.

  • Virtually, for remote or multi-site crews.

  • Or as a blended model combining online theory with practical in-person assessment.
